
Maritana Minerals begins 4,000-metre gold drilling campaign
- Maritana Minerals has launched a 4,000-metre aircore drilling programme at its Wilsons Gold prospect.
- Shares in the company rose 14.8% to $0.70 following the market update.
- The exploration campaign aims to test shallow gold targets located near existing processing infrastructure.
Maritana Minerals (ASX:MRT) has commenced a 4,000-metre drilling programme at its Wilsons Gold prospect in Western Australia.
The programme tests a surface gold anomaly defined in 2024 that spans 2.5km by 1.5km.
"The Wilsons Gold prospect is a compelling near-infrastructure discovery opportunity," said Maritana Minerals Managing Director and CEO Grant Haywood.
The target sits 400m from the processing hub, with assay results expected in late 2026.
Following the announcement, the Maritana Minerals share price was up at $0.70.
Maritana Minerals is currently converting its Black Swan facility into a central gold processing plant.
The company recently acquired surrounding exploration ground from Nano Metals to expand its regional footprint.
