Gorilla Gold Mines (ASX:GG8) has reported new drilling results from its 100%-owned Comet Vale Gold Project, part of the North Kalgoorlie Hub in Western Australia.

First-pass, wide-spaced reverse circulation (RC) drilling has outlined shallow gold mineralisation at two targets, Donkey Kong and Magilla, both located less than 1km from the Goldfields Highway on granted mining leases.

At Donkey Kong, the company recorded an intercept of 16.0m @ 4.2g/t Au from 36.0m, while drilling at Magilla returned 8.0m @ 3.6g/t Au from 96.0m.

“These exciting first-pass drilling results mark another step-change in our exploration at Comet Vale, with two separate mineralised systems discovered in broad-spaced drilling just 1km from the Goldfields Highway on granted Mining Leases,” said CEO Charles Hughes.

The company said these results are geologically consistent with its nearby Lakeview discovery, indicating potential for a broader mineralised system.

Gorilla Gold plans to increase drilling activity by adding an extra RC rig to conduct follow-up work at the new targets from May.
