  • GenusPlus secured contract awards from Western Power and Fortescue with an aggregate value of approximately $255 million.
  • The Western Power scope covers the Clean Energy Link – East project, maintenance packages and the Waddi Wind Farm connection.
  • Western Power packages run progressively through to early 2029, while the Fortescue works are planned for completion in the fourth quarter of 2027.

GenusPlus Group Ltd (ASX:GNP) has secured approximately $255 million in power infrastructure contracts with Western Power and Fortescue.

Western Power’s Clean Energy Link – East augments an existing 330kV terminal to carry more renewable energy from the state’s south.

“Genus is very pleased to have secured these significant contract awards with Western Power, and Fortescue supporting decarbonisation initiatives in Western Australia,” said GenusPlus Managing Director David Riches.

Waddi’s new 132kV substation completes by April 2027, maintenance by June 2027, and Clean Energy Link – East in early 2029.

“The awards reflect the strength of Genus’ capabilities in delivering critical power infrastructure across the utilities and resources sectors and build on our longstanding relationships with both customers,” said GenusPlus Managing Director David Riches.

Two Fortescue contracts build approximately 60 kilometres of 33kV distribution infrastructure at the Christmas Creek and Solomon mine sites.

Approximately 425 poles, overhead line conductor and underground high voltage cable follow, peaking at 100 personnel and concluding fourth-quarter 2027.

The work supports Fortescue’s plan to eliminate Scope 1 and 2 emissions from its Australian terrestrial iron ore operations by end-2030.

GenusPlus serves resources, energy, utilities, rail and communications customers across Australia and New Zealand.

Following the announcement, the GenusPlus Group share price was up 3.77% at $9.36.
