Galileo Mining (ASX:GAL) has commenced a 5,000-metre aircore drilling programme over mineralised outcrop at the North Callisto prospect within its Norseman Project.
The campaign compares to ongoing exploration efforts in the region, targeting shallow Platinum Group Metal mineralisation situated less than 2km from the existing 17.5-million-tonne Callisto resource.
The company stated that the drilling programme is designed to test for shallow mineralisation and explore additional gold prospects.
The programme is planned to run over three to four weeks, with assay results expected approximately six weeks following completion.
Management expects the campaign to further define high-priority targets across the mineralised zone.
Following the announcement, the Galileo Mining share price was unchanged at $0.10.
