Eminence Minerals (ASX:EMA) has executed three exclusive option agreements to acquire up to 85% of five gold exploration projects in Côte d'Ivoire covering 1,508km2.

The multi-project transaction expands the explorer's footprint by adding 871km2 of granted exploration tenure across four gold districts.

The agreement covers the Tarato, Kounouman, Banandje, and Sarhala gold projects, which are located near major producing gold mines and existing mineral deposits.

Eminence Minerals CEO Anthony Hills commented, "The proposed portfolio combines approximately 871km2 of granted exploration tenure with five additional exploration permit applications across five distinct gold project areas – Tarato, Kounouman, Banandje, Sarhala and Tonkpi – providing Eminence with both near-term exploration opportunities and substantial regional scale."

Under the terms of the deals, initial fieldwork will prioritise testing areas with reported historical artisanal workings across the portfolio.

The company stated that acquiring the projects provides a direct pathway to securing interests in prospective Birimian greenstone belts.

Following the announcement, the Eminence Minerals share price was up at $0.052.
