Eminence Minerals awards drilling contract in Brazil

Perth-based explorer Eminence Minerals (ASX:EMA) awarded a drilling contract to established Brazilian firm Eco Sondagem, marking a milestone for its 100% owned Campo Grande Project in Bahia, Brazil.

Scheduled to commence this June, the upcoming exploration campaign entails a systematic auger drilling programme spanning up to 72 holes for approximately 2,000m.

The operation is specifically engineered to evaluate high-priority ionic clay and lateritic rare earth element targets with a grid spacing of 200m by 200m, a structure designed to establish geological continuity and support future JORC-compliant mineral resource estimation activities.

The campaign will target three high-priority corridors that serve as interpreted extensions of the highly prospective Sulista, Monte Alto, and Amargosa rare earth trends.

These corridors directly adjoin tenements held by Brazilian Rare Earths (ASX:BRE), a major regional player with an approximate $1 billion market capitalisation that has previously reported high-grade drilling results of up to 45.7% total rare earth oxides.

Eminence’s own reconnaissance surface sampling has already yielded results of up to 17,346 ppm TREO.

Alongside the primary campaign, the company has identified six additional regional scout drilling targets alongside planned surface sampling to generate and prioritise new targets across the broader project area.
