Deep Yellow (ASX:DYL) announced that weak equity market conditions have led the company to defer its Q4 2026 final investment decision for the Tumas Uranium Project in Namibia.
The decision shifts a previously announced timeline to make a binding development commitment by the end of 2026.
On-site construction remains active, with four local Namibian contracts awarded totalling N$42.1 million, 170 tonnes of reinforcing steel installed, and renewed Environmental Clearance Certificates secured.
Management noted that initial civil and concrete works are fully funded by existing cash reserves to support systematic de-risking prior to a final board decision.
Following the announcement, the Deep Yellow share price was down at $0.84.
The developer holds nuclear fuel assets across Namibia and Australia, focusing on greenfield uranium prospects.
The schedule revision follows recent civil works commencement on-site and broader structural adjustments across major development projects.
