Uranium developer Deep Yellow (ASX:DYL) awarded $34 million in construction contracts for its Tumas Project in Namibia.
The awards include $15.5 million for civil construction works.
"Developing Tumas in partnership with local industry is central to our strategy," said Deep Yellow CEO Greg Field.
Deep Yellow stated that mobilisation will start in August and works will fit the planned 24-month timeline.
Following the announcement, the Deep Yellow share price was down at $1.23 ahead of a final investment decision.
The business is pursuing a strategy to produce over 10 million pounds of uranium annually across multiple jurisdictions.
Its portfolio includes the flagship Tumas asset alongside the Mulga Rock Project in Western Australia.
