Cosmo Metals secures drill targets at Mona prospect
- Cosmo Metals prepares for maiden drilling at its Mona prospect after discovering high-grade surface samples.
- The company recently raised $332,237 through a private placement to fund exploration across its copper-gold assets.
- Exploration activities aim to test potential precious metal-rich feeder zones within the 20-kilometre Bingara trend.
Cosmo Metals (ASX:CMO) has coordinated site preparations ahead of drill rig mobilisation to target high-grade copper, gold, and silver mineralisation at the Mona prospect.
The maiden campaign follows sample tests from historic mine dumps that returned rock chip results of up to 4.93% copper, 11.65g/t gold, and 204g/t silver.
Initial drill holes are designed to extend through the copper-rich volcanic-hosted massive sulphide lode into potential feeder zones rich in precious metals.
The Mona prospect sits within the 5-kilometre Everest-Mona-Victory trend, which forms part of the broader 20-kilometre Bingara trend in New South Wales.
The programme marks the first modern subsurface exploration testing of these specific feeder structures at the historic site.
Following the announcement, the Cosmo Metals share price was unchanged at $0.040.
Cosmo Metals is an Australian mineral exploration company focusing on base and precious metals across prospective tenements.
