
Coles Group FY26 net profit rises to $1.09B
- Coles Group (ASX:COL) reported a 13.7% increase in underlying net profit after tax to $1.26 billion.
- Total fully franked dividends grew 13% to 78 cents per share.
- Supermarket EBIT growth of 12.2% and e-commerce sales growth of 26.4% drove overall business momentum.
Coles Group (ASX:COL) reported net profit rose 1% to $1.09 billion in FY26, driven by Coles being hit by a $235 million provision relating to a Federal Court judgement that found it had underpaid staff.
The company booked a 2.8% increase in group sales revenue to $45.58 billion alongside a 13.7% rise in underlying net profit after tax to $1.26 billion.
The earnings expansion was supported by a 12.2% growth in supermarket EBIT and a 43 basis point margin expansion.
Supermarkets sales increased 3.7% to $41.5 billion; Coles’ liquor business’ sales fell 3.3% to $3.55 billion.
The company reported that its customer proposition gained momentum while supermarket e-commerce sales scaled profitably with a 26.4% increase to $5.6 billion.
Coles Group Managing Director & CEO Leah Wecker stated, "We strengthened our competitive position, gaining market share in Supermarkets and building momentum across our digital business, and we enter FY27 with good momentum and a strong balance sheet."
Coles will pay a final of 37 cents, bringing its total dividends for FY26 to 78 cents per share.
Following the announcement, the Coles Group share price was unchanged at $22.64.
The retail giant continues to expand its digital footprint while maintaining a strong physical presence across its supermarket and liquor operations.
