Champion Iron reports $357M revenue for Q1 FY27

Champion Iron (ASX:CIA) reported quarterly production of 3.9 million wet metric tonnes and revenues of $357 million for the first quarter ended June 30.

The results followed previous operational updates and reflected ongoing integration efforts across the company's expanded asset base.

"In an environment marked by economic uncertainty and market volatility, our dedicated team remains focused on executing our strategic priorities and optimising operations to enhance our competitive positioning and financial resilience," said Champion Iron CEO David Cataford.

The company stated that initial production of direct reduction quality iron ore from the DRPF project was achieved, with the first shipment scheduled for the second quarter of fiscal 2027.

Following the announcement, the Champion Iron share price was up at $3.97.

The business also finalised the acquisition of Rana Gruber to expand its presence as a high-purity iron ore producer in Norway.

Operations continue to centre on optimising the Bloom Lake mining complex alongside integration initiatives for newly acquired European assets.
