Champion Iron appoints new executives to key leadership

Champion Iron (ASX:CIA) has appointed Steve Boucratie as Chief Legal & Strategy Officer and Corporate Secretary, while naming Michael Marcotte as CFO.

Boucratie joined the company in 2019 as Senior Vice-president, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, while Marcotte joined in 2018 as Vice-President of Investor Relations before serving as Senior Vice-President of corporate development and capital markets.

"On behalf of the board of directors and management team, I am pleased to announce the appointments of Steve and Michael to these key leadership roles," said Champion Iron CEO David Cataford.

Both executives bring extensive industry experience, with Boucratie contributing over 15 years in corporate law and governance, and Marcotte bringing more than 15 years in financial analysis and natural resources capital sourcing.

The company stated that the strategic adjustments to its executive team will enable it to consolidate key responsibilities and execute its long-term growth opportunities.

Following the announcement, the Champion Iron share price was up at $4.035.

Prior to these appointments, both executives were instrumental in managing major capital markets transactions, corporate acquisitions, and ongoing strategic development across the business.

The leadership additions build on the company's established mining and strategy infrastructure across its core operations in Canada and international capital market listings.
