Celsius Resources (ASX:CLA) appointed Bardin Davis as its new Managing Director, effective immediately.
The move follows a strategic transition period during which Davis served as a board advisor since January.
In tandem with this executive hire, the company has engaged a specialist firm to conduct a search for a permanent non-executive chair to further bolster its leadership structure.
Davis arrives with a formidable pedigree, boasting approximately 30 years of experience across investment banking and the corporate mining sector.
His track record is highlighted by a five-year tenure as CEO of Peak Rare Earths (ASX:PEK), where he famously oversaw a sale that delivered a staggering 269% takeover premium.
His extensive resume also includes a stint as CFO of UPC/AC Renewables Australia and senior investment banking roles at Macquarie Capital, HSBC, and ABN AMRO, with over a decade spent operating within Asian markets.
At Celsius, Davis will shift his immediate focus towards securing project financing for the Maalinao-Caigutan-Biyog Copper-Gold Project.
This remains the company's primary catalyst for reaching a final investment decision.
Interim Non-Executive Chair Peter Hume expressed strong confidence in the appointment, noting that Davis’s background in project financing and binding offtake agreements is perfectly aligned with the company’s current developmental phase.
At the time of reporting, Celsius Resources' share price was $0.012.
