Cazaly Resources begins drilling at Gulls Blow prospect
- Reverse circulation drilling has started at the Gulls Blow gold prospect for the first time since the 1980s.
- Cazaly Resources shares dropped 4.55% following the market announcement.
- The programme aims to validate and extend shallow historical gold intercepts beneath old workings.
Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ) has commenced reverse circulation drilling at its Gulls Blow gold prospect located 90km north of Kalgoorlie.
This drilling campaign represents the first exploration activity at the site since Julia Mines NL produced a report on the property in 1986.
"Gulls Blow is exactly the kind of target we want to be drilling — high-grade gold in shallow historical holes, beneath old workings and right alongside two historical open pit gold mines," said Cazaly Resources Managing Director Tara French.
The drill programme targets historical non-JORC exploration results situated on the Bardoc Tectonic Zone.
Following the announcement, the Cazaly Resources share price was down at $0.020.
Cazaly holds a 51% interest in the Goongarrie Gold Project and maintains an option to earn up to 80% ownership.
