Housing Bill Expected to Become Law Despite Trump's Refusal to Sign

Nathan Dean, Senior Policy Analyst for Bloomberg Intelligence, joined Bloomberg's Paul Sweeney and Scarlett Fu said he expects the housing bill to become law despite President Trump's refusal to sign the passed legislation. Trump's refusal to sign the legislation Wednesday came shortly before a private luncheon with Senate Republicans at the US Capitol, where tensions quickly flared.  Trump's decision to delay the housing bill from becoming law spoiled an opportunity for lawmakers in both parties and the president himself to tout progress toward addressing voters' affordability concerns ahead of November's midterm elections. The clash laid bare the mutual frustration among the president and members of his own party as they face an uphill struggle to keep their congressional majorities.
