- Beacon Lighting named former JB Hi-Fi executive James Gray as its new CFO.
- Company shares remained steady at $1.78 following the leadership announcement.
- The appointment aims to support the retailer's strategic expansion and long-term financial growth.
Beacon Lighting Group (ASX:BLX) has appointed James Gray as CFO, effective Jan. 4, 2027.
The decision follows the upcoming departure of current CFO David Speirs, which was originally announced in August.
"We are delighted to welcome James to Beacon Lighting and look forward to his contribution to our executive leadership team," said Beacon Lighting CEO Glen Robinson.
Gray brings over 20 years of senior finance experience, including a decade as Group Financial Controller at JB Hi-Fi, where he led a team of more than 55 members.
Ahead of Gray's arrival, Company Secretary Jessy Virdi will serve as Acting CFO following Speirs' departure at the end of October.
Following the announcement, the Beacon Lighting Group share price was unchanged at $1.78.
Gray previously oversaw financial due diligence for the $870 million acquisition of The Good Guys during his tenure at JB Hi-Fi (ASX:JBH).
He also managed finance operations for Bapcor's $200 million equity raising and $170 million debt refinancing.
