BCAL Diagnostics expands cancer test access nationwide
BCAL Diagnostics (ASX:BDX) announced a major national expansion, embedding its early cancer detection referral pathways into the clinical software systems used by approximately 97% of the nation's general practitioners.
Clinical referral forms for BCAL's early detection tests are now live on Best Practice and Medical Director, the country's two leading GP software platforms.
Further expanding its specialist reach, BCAL has integrated its systems with Genie (Magentus), Australia’s leading specialist practice management platform.
The nationwide digital infrastructure complements BCAL’s existing laboratory and distribution agreements with major providers Sonic Healthcare and Helius Pathology networks to ensure streamlined test fulfilment.
BCAL has launched EarlyDetection.com.au, a dedicated telehealth service developed in partnership with Medmate.
Commencing operations on May 12, the platform offers an additional medically supported pathway for eligible patients.
Dr Martin A. Devitt has been appointed Medical Director of the Centre for Early Detection, strengthening clinical governance as the company opens a dedicated clinic for high-risk patients in the Sydney CBD.
Looking forward, BCAL plans to launch a multi-cancer early detection test in June, targeting a pancreatic addressable market exceeding $250 million annually.
Spurring global growth, the EarlyDetection platform has also been registered in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the United States, India, and other international markets.
At the time of reporting, BCAL Diagnostics’ share price was $0.084.
