Avira Resources (ASX:AVW) has remobilised drilling contractor Strike Drilling to resume an approved 4,500-metre reverse circulation drilling programme at its high-grade Mt Cattlin Gold Project.

The programme recommences after initial campaigns confirmed gold potential at depth across key targets.

Avira Resources CEO Andrew van Bentum commented, "Our first 18 holes confirmed high-grade gold continuing at depth at Maori Queen, with standout results also returned at Plantagenet."

The active rig and crew are being deployed to site this week to finish the planned drilling metres.

Following the announcement the Avira Resources share price was unchanged at $0.006.
