Atmos Renewables has expanded its Australian operational generation portfolio by acquiring a clean energy asset portfolio from developer BayWa r.e.
The expansion builds on the company's existing renewable energy footprint as it targets growing regional power demand.
"The deal strengthens Atmos’ portfolio by adding diversity and gave the company the opportunity to deliver its first wind farm in NSW, the region of greatest customer demand," said Atmos Renewables CEO Nigel Baker.
The transaction includes the operating Yatpool solar farm in Victoria, the Hughenden solar farm in Queensland, and the planned 800-megawatt Bullawah wind and two-hour battery project in New South Wales.
The combined assets will advance the developer's build-out of commercial generation capacity once final approval for the Bullawah venture is granted.
The private infrastructure firm has grown its operational base through several major asset purchases across wind, solar, and battery storage.
Its broader corporate strategy focuses on expanding utility-scale generation projects across key Australian electricity grid regions.
