Argent Minerals (ASX:ARD) appointed Mike McKevitt as CEO, commencing July 12, to advance project development.

The leadership transition follows the conclusion of the notice period for outgoing executive Pedro Kastellorizos.

“The board is delighted to welcome McKevitt to Argent at an important time for the company,” said Argent Non-Executive Chairman Peter Michael. McKevitt holds 35 years of resources experience.

Following the announcement the Argent Minerals share price was unchanged at $0.025.

The business stated that the new executive will prioritise technical studies at its flagship Kempfield Silver Project.

Argent holds a 2,772 square-kilometre exploration footprint containing base metal targets across Australia.
