3P Learning reports $19.5M full year EBITDA

Educational software maker 3P Learning (ASX:3PL) delivered a 26% increase in full-year underlying EBITDA to $19.5 million for the 12 months ended June 30.

The result compares to an underlying EBITDA of $15.5 million in the prior period, while statutory net profit after tax rose to $9.9 million from $0.2 million.

3P Learning’s CEO, Jose Palmero, said, “We made good progress but also faced significant

market challenges, particularly in B2B and – to a lesser extent – B2C, with softer consumer spending.”

Full-year statutory outcomes included $3.2 million in after-tax pro forma items covering $5.7 million in acquisition amortisation and $1.6 million in restructuring costs, offset by $4.7 million from digital games tax offset claims.

Management expects ongoing operational improvements following the operational cash flow result of $11.0 million before tax.

Following the announcement, the 3P Learning share price was up at $0.34.

The business previously integrated legacy assets, including Blake eLearning, Brightpath, and LiteracyPlanet.

Revenue for the year reached $112.9 million, supported by $8.6 million in total recognised tax offset income.
