About

stake.link is a decentralized liquid staking protocol designed primarily for the Chainlink ecosystem. Launched to enable delegated staking under Chainlink Economics 2.0, the platform allows users to stake assets such as LINK, SDL, ESP, and POL without locking up their capital. In return for deposited tokens, users receive liquid receipt tokens like stLINK that automatically accrue staking yield while remaining fully composable across decentralized finance applications. The protocol delegates pooled assets across a consortium of professional node operators to secure underlying networks, offering stakers liquid exit paths, meritocratic access queues, and cross-protocol yield opportunities.

Products and/or services of stake.link

  • Liquid Staking Pool: Non-custodial pool allowing users to deposit LINK tokens to receive stLINK receipt tokens. Deposited assets are delegated across 15 professional node operators to earn auto-accruing staking yield from Chainlink native pools without lock-up periods.
  • Governance Staking Module: Protocol module enabling holders to stake native governance tokens or lock them into escrow. Stakers receive protocol revenue distributions, voting rights on protocol parameters, and preferential prioritization within the deposit queue.
  • Priority Queue System: Automated queuing mechanism that manages LINK deposits when native Chainlink staking pools reach maximum capacity. The system auto-stakes queued funds into native contracts as capacity opens, prioritizing depositors based on governance holdings.
  • Polygon Staking Mechanism: Liquid staking pool for POL tokens that delegates user deposits to Polygon network validators. Stakers earn native network validation rewards while maintaining token liquidity through receipt assets usable across decentralized finance protocols.
  • Espresso Staking Module: Delegated liquid staking pool for ESP tokens supporting the Espresso sequencer network. Deposited assets are routed to active infrastructure nodes, allowing stakers to earn validation yield while retaining underlying liquid token usability.
  • DeFi Integration Framework: Smart contract integration architecture connecting liquid receipt tokens like stLINK to external decentralised finance protocols. Users utilize receipt tokens on platforms such as Curve, Uniswap, Morpho, and Beefy to access yield.
