Rocket Pool is a decentralized Ethereum liquid staking protocol designed to facilitate permissionless node operation and non-custodial liquid staking. The protocol enables users to stake ETH in amounts as small as 0.01 ETH to receive rETH, a yield-bearing liquid staking token that accrues beacon chain staking rewards over time. Simultaneously, decentralized node operators can create and maintain Ethereum validators by bonding 4 or 8 ETH along with RPL collateral, earning validator rewards, protocol commissions, and governance rights. Smart contracts handle asset management, automated liquidity matching, and validator reward distribution across a distributed global network of independent node operators.
