Liquity
About
Liquity is a decentralized borrowing protocol built on the Ethereum blockchain that enables users to draw zero-interest or user-configured loans against Ether and liquid staking tokens used as collateral. Loans are issued in over-collateralized USD-denominated stablecoins, including LUSD and BOLD. Operating as an immutable and governance-minimized system, the protocol relies on third-party frontend operators to host user interfaces rather than running its own centralized application interface. Users can deposit stablecoins into stability pools to absorb liquidated debt, manage leverage through automated looping functions, or stake native utility tokens to earn protocol fees and direct liquidity incentives across decentralized exchange pools.

Operations
Products and/or services of Liquity
- LUSD Stablecoin: A decentralized, USD-pegged stablecoin fully backed by Ether collateral with a 110% minimum collateral ratio. It maintains value parity through direct redeemability for underlying ETH collateral at face value.
- BOLD Stablecoin: An immutable, decentralized USD-pegged stablecoin over-collateralized exclusively by Ether, wstETH, and rETH. It features user-set borrowing rates, maximum loan-to-value ratios up to 91%, and direct redeemability against protocol collateral.
- V1 Borrowing Protocol: An immutable, non-custodial borrowing protocol on Ethereum enabling users to deposit ETH collateral into Troves to draw interest-free LUSD loans, subject only to a one-time issuance fee and automated liquidation mechanisms.
- V2 Borrowing Protocol: A multi-collateral lending architecture supporting native ETH, wstETH, and rETH collateral assets. Borrowers set custom interest rates to manage redemption risk, mint BOLD, and utilize automated one-click leverage execution tools.
- Stability Pools: Dedicated protocol liquidity pools where stablecoin depositors absorb debt from liquidated Troves. Depositors receive collateral assets at a discount during liquidation events alongside protocol incentive emissions and continuous yield rewards.
- LQTY Staking: A governance-minimized utility mechanism allowing token holders to capture protocol borrowing and redemption fees. Stakers direct protocol-incentivized liquidity for BOLD pools while earning fees across both original and upgraded protocol deployments.
