Ecopetrol is a Colombian integrated energy corporation engaged in the exploration, production, transportation, refining, and commercialization of crude oil, natural gas, and petrochemical products. As the largest business enterprise in Colombia, the company operates major onshore and offshore hydrocarbon production fields across the country, alongside extensive crude oil and refined product pipeline networks. It owns and operates Colombia's primary oil refineries located in Barrancabermeja and Cartagena. In addition to oil and gas operations, the group manages power transmission, telecommunications, and road infrastructure assets through its ownership stake in Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. across several Latin American countries.
