About

BENQI is a decentralized finance protocol constructed on the Avalanche blockchain network. The protocol provides a non-custodial liquidity market alongside a liquid staking service for digital assets. Through the liquidity market, users can supply crypto assets to earn yield or borrow assets against collateral in an algorithmic money market. The liquid staking component allows users to stake AVAX tokens to receive yield-bearing liquid staking tokens that remain active across decentralized finance protocols. Additionally, BENQI develops infrastructure tooling to simplify the creation and management of validator nodes and subnets on the Avalanche network.

Products and/or services of BENQI

  • Lending Protocol: Decentralized liquidity market operating on the Avalanche blockchain that enables users to deposit digital assets to earn variable interest rates or borrow supported cryptocurrencies against deposited collateral through automated algorithmic liquidity pools.
  • Liquid Staking: Decentralized protocol allowing Avalanche network participants to stake native AVAX tokens to receive yield-bearing sAVAX tokens, maintaining asset liquidity for further deployment across decentralized finance protocols while earning validator consensus rewards.
  • Subnet Infrastructure: Automated platform designed to streamline the deployment and maintenance of Avalanche Subnets and validator nodes, allowing developers and institution operators to launch customized blockchain networks with reduced initial capital collateral requirements.
  • Liquid Asset Utility: Liquid staking derivative token representing deposited AVAX that automatically accumulates network consensus rewards while remaining fully transferable, usable as collateral within money market protocols, and composable across various decentralized finance applications.
  • Governance System: Token-based protocol management framework enabling community token holders to submit governance proposals, adjust protocol risk parameters, initiate new asset onboardings, and direct liquidity incentive distributions across decentralized lending markets and staking infrastructure.
  • Yield Optimization: Lockup mechanism where protocol tokens are locked into vote-escrowed contracts to acquire governance power, providing enhanced proposal voting weight and boosting staking yield allocations across decentralized liquidity pools and infrastructure modules.
