Alpha HPA (ASX:A4N) is a speciality metals and materials company focused on producing high purity alumina (HPA), a critical ingredient in lithium-ion batteries and other advanced technologies. The company's proprietary Smart SX Technology is a low-cost, sustainable process for producing HPA with a purity of greater than 99.99%. Alpha HPA's flagship HPA First Project is a 10,000tpa HPA production facility in Western Australia, which is scheduled to commence production in 2023. The company is also working on a number of other projects, including a proposed expansion of its HPA First Project and a potential new HPA production facility in North America. Alpha HPA's objectives are to become a leading global producer of HPA and to play a key role in the development of the global lithium-ion battery and advanced technologies markets.

  • HPA First Project: A 10,000tpa HPA production facility in Western Australia, scheduled to commence production in 2023.
  • Smart SX Technology: A low-cost, sustainable process for producing HPA with a purity of greater than 99.99%.
  • Battery materials: Alpha HPA's ultra-pure aluminium materials have a range of critical applications across lithium-ion cells, including ceramic coating media for battery separators, custom dopants for high nickel cathode materials, and HPA for dry-coating cathode and anode particles.
  • Precursors for battery materials: Alpha HPA produces aluminium precursors for NCA, NCMA and NMA cathodes, as well as aluminium precursors for aluminium-oxide coatings.
  • Other products: Alpha HPA also produces a range of other ultra-high purity aluminium oxides, hydroxides, nitrates and sulphates for a wide range of high technology industries including LED lighting, synthetic sapphire, semiconductors, and lithium-ion battery markets.
  • Expansion plans: Alpha HPA is working on a number of expansion plans, including a proposed expansion of its HPA First Project and a potential new HPA production facility in North America.
