The Zcash Foundation said the US Securities and Exchange Commission has ended its investigation into the privacy-focused cryptocurrency Zcash.

The probe began in August 2023 after the foundation received an SEC subpoena linked to certain crypto asset offerings.

The foundation said the SEC concluded its review and will not pursue enforcement action or recommend changes.

This outcome reflects our commitment to transparency and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

The Zcash Foundation said.

The foundation said it remains focused on developing privacy-preserving financial infrastructure.

The decision comes as the SEC has dropped several crypto investigations under President Donald Trump’s administration.

The regulator’s shift has raised expectations of a softer approach to crypto enforcement in the United States.

The SEC did not publicly comment on the Zcash investigation’s conclusion.

The closure comes as lawmakers consider broader legislation to clarify digital asset regulation.

The Senate Banking Committee is scheduled to review a bill defining the roles of the SEC and CFTC in crypto oversight.

At the time of reporting, Zcash price was $431.46.
