  • X-Bow Systems was selected by Leidos (NYSE:LDOS) to develop and produce booster motors for the U.S. Army’s Low-Cost Containerized Munition program.
  • The agreement includes design, qualification testing, and static-fire testing before planned full-rate production of booster motors in 2027.
  • X-Bow said the program adds to six new propulsion programs it has been selected for in 2026 across the U.S. Navy, Army, and Missile Defense Agency.

X-Bow Systems announced that it was selected by Leidos (NYSE:LDOS) to develop and manufacture solid rocket motor booster systems for the U.S. Army’s Low-Cost Containerized Munition (LCCM) program.

The agreement will move through design, qualification testing, and static-fire tests before X-Bow begins planned full-rate production of booster motors at scale in 2027.

The company said the award expands its role in solid rocket motor production and follows its recently completed first major production contract, which delivered more than 2,100 combat-ready rocket motors.

X-Bow said the LCCM program supports efforts to increase domestic solid rocket motor production capacity and provide precision munitions at higher production volumes.

The company develops solid rocket propulsion systems for defense applications and has received propulsion program selections involving the U.S. Navy, Army, and Missile Defense Agency.
