WTW acquires crypto insurance platform Redefind to expand digital asset protection

WTW (NASDAQ:WTW), a leading global advisory, broking, and solutions company, has acquired Redefind, a web-based platform that facilitates access to specialized insurance products for cryptocurrency and digital assets.

The acquisition forms a key component of WTW’s broader corporate strategy to build out its suite of next-generation risk management and protection solutions for emerging technology sectors.

Redefind’s core offering centers on a non-custodial, cost-of-recovery insurance mechanism designed specifically for the digital asset ecosystem.

By utilizing a non-custodial architecture, the platform enables participants to seek risk-mitigation solutions without requiring them to surrender control of their cryptographic private keys, addressing a significant security and compliance concern for institutional market participants.

The specialized insurance offering is slated to launch first in the UK, where regulators have been establishing structured frameworks for digital asset oversight.

Following the initial regional rollout, WTW plans to scale the platform globally to meet growing multinational demand for institutional-grade crypto insurance.
