Woodward signed a definitive agreement on Monday to acquire Florida-based Valve Research & Manufacturing Company, a move designed to deepen the industrial giant’s component density on both current and future-generation aircraft platforms.
The company announced on March 9, 2026, that it will acquire Jet Research Development, doing business as Valve Research & Manufacturing Company (VRM).
The all-cash transaction includes all outstanding shares, manufacturing assets, and associated real estate in Florida.
While specific financial terms were not disclosed, the deal is expected to close in the first half of 2026.
VRM is a specialist manufacturer of high-precision flow control solutions, including electromagnetic solenoid, check, and relief valves.
For over 50 years, the family-owned firm has supplied critical components to major aerospace original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
The acquisition brings approximately 130 skilled employees into Woodward’s Aerospace segment, which recently reported 29% sales growth in its first quarter of fiscal 2026.
