Wesco (NYSE:WCC) completed its acquisition of Newark Engineering Group, adding Singapore-based engineered cooling and lifecycle services for data centers to its business portfolio.
The deal comes as data center operators increase demand for thermal management solutions compared with prior infrastructure expansion cycles focused mainly on computing capacity.
Wesco said the acquisition adds design, installation, and maintenance capabilities for advanced cooling systems used in high-density data center environments.
Wesco said the addition of Newark Engineering Group strengthens its position across the data center value chain, particularly in Southeast Asia.
The company also said the acquisition expands its ability to deliver end-to-end infrastructure services, including ongoing operational support for data center clients.
Wesco said the transaction is part of its broader strategy to grow its infrastructure solutions business in high-growth technology markets.
