Vicore Pharma (NASDAQ:VCRE) reported an operating loss of SEK 133.3 million for the third quarter of 2026, while its Phase 2b ASPIRE trial continued following an independent review.
Quarterly revenue declined to SEK 0.6 million from SEK 0.8 million a year earlier, while net loss widened to SEK 124.3 million from SEK 113.5 million, although loss per share narrowed to SEK 0.44 from SEK 0.48.
The independent monitoring committee recommended continuing the ASPIRE trial without modification after its planned analysis found no reason to stop for lack of benefit, while its separate safety review raised no concerns.
Cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments totaled SEK 772 million at September 30, 2026, down from SEK 1,166.7 million at December 31, 2025, while nine-month revenue remained unchanged at SEK 3.4 million.
Vicore expects topline results from ASPIRE in mid-2027 and has advanced preparations for a potential Phase 3 trial, although the company remains blinded to the clinical data.
The company is developing buloxibutid, an oral drug candidate targeting idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), and is using its ASPIRE trial to assess the treatment's safety and effectiveness over 52 weeks.
Vicore completed ASPIRE enrollment in April 2026, with 378 patients across more than 100 sites in 14 countries, and began trading its US depositary shares on Nasdaq in July alongside its Stockholm listing.
