Viasat wins $42 million Marine Corps SATCOM task order

• Viasat (NASDAQ:VSAT) received a $42 million initial task order under a seven-year U.S. Marine Corps satellite communications contract.
• The award comes through the Marine Enterprise Commercial Satcom Satellite Services contract, which has a ceiling value of up to $307 million.
• Viasat will provide managed global satellite connectivity across L-, Ku-, and Ka-band networks, including its own and partner satellite systems.

Viasat (NASDAQ:VSAT) secured a $42 million initial task order under a seven-year U.S. Marine Corps satellite communications contract announced on September 23, 2026.

The award was issued through Viasat subsidiary Inmarsat Government under the Marine Enterprise Commercial Satcom Satellite Services contract from the U.S. Space Force Commercial Satellite Communications Office.

Viasat will provide fully managed global satellite services for the U.S. Marine Corps, including multi-orbit connectivity across L-, Ku-, and Ka-band frequencies using company and partner satellite networks.

The MECS2 contract has a ceiling value of up to $307 million and includes secure data transport, bandwidth management, terminal inventory support, performance monitoring, and cybersecurity services.

Viasat said the service will use its integrated global Ka-band network, ViaSat-3 satellites, terrestrial network infrastructure, and 24/7 Network Operations Center and Security Operations Center support.
