- Vertical Aerospace (NYSE:EVTL) signed a long-term agreement with Astronics Corporation (NASDAQ:ATRO) to supply the low-voltage power distribution system for its Valo eVTOL aircraft.
- Astronics will provide power conversion and distribution hardware for critical systems, including avionics and flight controls.
- The partnership builds on Astronics’ support during the prototype phase and strengthens Vertical’s supplier ecosystem.
Vertical Aerospace (NYSE:EVTL) announced a long-term agreement with Astronics Corporation (NASDAQ:ATRO) to supply the low-voltage power distribution system for its Valo electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft.
Under the agreement, Astronics will provide power conversion and distribution hardware that manages and protects electrical power for critical aircraft systems.
Astronics has supported Vertical throughout the prototype phase, with its hardware already integrated into Vertical’s piloted flight test aircraft.
The agreement further strengthens Vertical’s supplier ecosystem, which includes leading partners such as Honeywell, Aciturri, Evolito, Hyundai WIA, Syensqo, and Isoclima.
“Building a certifiable aircraft requires not only breakthrough technology, but also a world-class supplier ecosystem,” said Stuart Simpson, CEO of Vertical Aerospace.
Astronics’ CorePower system is purpose-built for eVTOL applications, combining high-voltage power conversion with low-voltage distribution.
The announcement follows Vertical’s progress toward Critical Design Review for the Valo program as it advances toward certification and commercial production.
