VERAXA starts cell line work for BiTAC T-cell engager
- VERAXA Biotech (NASDAQ:VRXA) initiated cell line development for its lead BiTAC-TCE program.
- The company is working with ATUM to use Leap-In Transposase technology for stable clonal cell lines.
- The step supports IND/CTA-enabling activities for future clinical development.
VERAXA Biotech (NASDAQ:VRXA) said it has begun cell line development for its lead BiTAC T-cell engager (BiTAC-TCE) candidate.
The company is partnering with ATUM to apply its Leap-In Transposase technology in developing stable clonal cell lines.
VERAXA said the process is a key step toward IND and CTA-enabling activities required before human clinical trials.
The cell line development is intended to support future manufacturing and clinical production of the BiTAC-TCE program.
BiTAC-TCE programs are designed to engage T-cells to target disease-related cells, and stable cell line development is a standard early-stage manufacturing milestone.
VERAXA said the collaboration supports advancement of its most developed BiTAC-TCE candidate toward clinical readiness.
