Veraxa gains guidance for BiTAC-TCE program
- VERAXA Biotech received Scientific Advice from Germany’s Paul-Ehrlich-Institute on its lead BiTAC-TCE cancer program.
- VERAXA Biotech shares were up 2.4% at $3.84 following the announcement.
- The company said the feedback provides clarity for development of its dual-targeting, conditionally active T-cell engager platform.
VERAXA Biotech (NASDAQ:VRXA) received Scientific Advice from Germany’s Paul-Ehrlich-Institute on the biological rationale and non-clinical development plan for its lead BiTAC-TCE programme.
The feedback focused on VERAXA’s dual-targeting, conditionally active BiTAC-TCE format, which the company said could support further development planning.
VERAXA said preclinical data presented at AACR 2026 showed the candidate selectively targeted cancer cells expressing both targets while sparing single-target cells and produced similar efficacy to a traditional T-cell engager in testing.
Following the announcement, VERAXA Biotech's share price was up 2.4% at $3.84.
The BiTAC-TCE platform is designed to use dual-target recognition and conditional activation to improve tumour selectivity compared with conventional T-cell engager approaches.
VERAXA said the company is continuing development of its antibody-based cancer therapy pipeline, including programmes designed to target solid tumours.
