Valley National Bancorp (NASDAQ:VLY) agreed to acquire Bluevine for approximately $340 million in a cash-and-stock transaction expected to include about 75% cash and 25% Valley common stock.
The acquisition would add Bluevine’s digital banking platform, which had generated $2.1 billion in digitally sourced deposits and served approximately 175,000 active small-business customers as of June 2026.
Valley said it expects approximately 5% tangible book value dilution at closing, with an estimated earn-back period of approximately three years, while the transaction remains subject to a definitive agreement, regulatory approvals, and customary closing conditions..
Valley National Bancorp is a regional bank providing commercial, retail, and specialty financial services through its banking operations.
The company said Bluevine’s platform-generated deposits grew at an approximately 35% compound annual growth rate from 2023 through the second quarter of 2026, and the transaction is expected to close in early 2027.
