VAALCO Energy completes Gabon well adding 1,140 barrels

VAALCO Energy (NYSE:EGY) brought its final offshore Gabon development well into production to add 1,140 net barrels daily.

The ETSEM-3H well marks the successful conclusion of the multi-well Phase 3 drilling campaign in the region.

The new development well achieved a stabilized initial flow rate of approximately 2,000 gross barrels of oil per day.

Concurrently, the operator commenced the Baobab Phase 5 offshore drilling program in Côte d’Ivoire by targeting upper well sections.

The company confirmed that the Borr Norve drilling rig has been successfully demobilized from the completed Gabon field.

VAALCO Energy stated that it anticipates bringing the first Baobab producer online before the end of 2026.
