Deckorators, a leading brand of UFP Industries (NYSE:UFPI), has completed the acquisition of the remaining operating assets for MoistureShield decking, significantly expanding its manufacturing footprint and proprietary technology portfolio in the high-growth wood-plastic composite (WPC) market.

The transaction includes a dedicated WPC manufacturing facility in Arkansas, several established product brands, and MoistureShield’s proprietary CoolDeck® technology, which is engineered to reduce heat absorption in composite boards.

The move is designed to complement Deckorators' existing Surestone® mineral-based composite technology, providing the company with a dual-track product offering for the premium and mid-tier outdoor living segments.

By integrating the Arkansas facility, Deckorators gains immediate incremental sales capacity.

However, the company has outlined an aggressive long-term scaling plan: through additional capital investments in the site over the next 18 months, Deckorators aims to double its WPC capacity to $200 million by 2027.
