President Donald Trump told global leaders at the World Economic Forum in Davos that the US economy is experiencing a historic turnaround.
“After 12 months back in the White House, our economy is booming,”
Donald Trump said.
Trump blamed the previous administration for inflation, weak growth, and border insecurity, while crediting his own policies for strong expansion.
He said the US is the central engine of global prosperity and urged other countries to follow Washington’s economic model.
Trump said his administration cut regulations, reduced federal employment, and reversed climate policies to lower energy costs.
He argued that expanded fossil fuel and nuclear energy production strengthened both economic and national security.
Trump revived his push to bring Greenland under US control, calling it vital for strategic defence.
“No nation or group of nations is in any position to be able to secure Greenland other than the United States,”
Donald Trump said.
He said the US is seeking immediate negotiations with Denmark and warned refusal would carry consequences.
Trump claimed the move would reinforce NATO despite renewed criticism of alliance burden-sharing.
He said the US leads the world in artificial intelligence due to deregulation and energy flexibility.
“I’m also working to ensure America remains the crypto capital of the world,”
Donald Trump said.
Trump cited the Genius Act and pending digital asset legislation as key to maintaining US leadership.
He said crypto policy has become a major political issue driven by competition with China.
Markets showed muted reaction to the speech, with equities largely flat and crypto prices weaker.
