Former United States president Donald Trump said he was very angry over an alleged attack on Vladimir Putin’s residence during sensitive peace talks.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov claimed Ukraine launched the drone strike in Russia’s Novgorod region.
The incident was reported to have occurred late Sunday night and into early Monday morning.
Russian authorities said air defence systems intercepted and destroyed ninety one long range drones.
Lavrov warned that “such reckless actions will not go unanswered,” following the reported attack.
Ukraine strongly denied responsibility for any strike on Putin’s residence.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed the allegation as false.

Zelenskyy added Ukraine would not take actions that could undermine diplomacy efforts.
Trump told reporters that Putin personally informed him of the alleged incident.
Trump criticised the timing of the attack amid ongoing peace negotiations.
