TJX Companies (NYSE:TJX) reported second-quarter fiscal 2027 net sales of $15.2 billion, up 5% year over year, with consolidated comparable sales increasing 4%.
The company’s comparable sales growth exceeded its plan, while diluted earnings per share increased to $1.36 from $1.10 in the prior-year quarter.
TJX reported second-quarter pretax profit margin of 13.3%, up 1.9 percentage points from the prior year, while adjusted pretax profit margin increased to 11.9%, excluding the impact of tariff refunds.
TJX increased full-year fiscal 2027 pretax profit margin and diluted EPS guidance and returned $1.3 billion to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends during the second quarter.
For the first half of fiscal 2027, TJX reported net sales of $29.5 billion, up 7% year over year, with consolidated comparable sales increasing 5%.
The company reported first-half net income of $2.9 billion and diluted EPS of $2.55, up 26% from $2.02 in the prior-year period, while adjusted diluted EPS rose 19% to $2.41 excluding tariff refund benefits.
