  • Tiziana Life Sciences completed enrollment and began dosing the final patient in its Phase 2 intranasal foralumab trial for early or mild Alzheimer’s disease.
  • The company’s shares closed at $1.05 on October 15, unchanged from the preceding session, before the October 16 announcement.
  • Tiziana expects topline trial results in Q1 2027, evaluating foralumab alone and alongside approved anti-amyloid treatments.

Tiziana Life Sciences (NASDAQ:TLSA) announced on October 16, 2026, that the final patient began dosing in its Phase 2 intranasal foralumab trial for early or mild Alzheimer’s disease.

The milestone completes enrollment and confirms all participants have started treatment, although the randomized, placebo-controlled study has not completed its treatment or follow-up periods.

"Dosing the last patient in this important Phase 2 trial is a significant achievement for our team, clinical sites, and the patients participating in the study," said Tiziana Life Sciences CEO Ivor Elrifi.

The trial evaluates foralumab alone and alongside lecanemab or donanemab, measuring brain inflammation through TSPO-PET imaging, cognitive performance and biomarkers associated with amyloid and tau.

Tiziana expects topline results in Q1 2027 to assess the treatment's potential effects on Alzheimer’s disease.

Foralumab is an experimental anti-CD3 antibody administered through the nose, which Tiziana is investigating for its potential to regulate immune activity and reduce inflammation in neurological disorders.

Tiziana also completed final patient visits in its Phase 2a INFORM-MS multiple sclerosis trial in September 2026 and began dosing participants in an amyotrophic lateral sclerosis study later that month.
