TG Therapeutics (NASDAQ:TGTX) has begun a Phase 2, open-label, single-arm, multicenter study of BRIUMVI (ublituximab-xiiy) in adults with treatment-resistant schizophrenia.
The trial is expected to enroll around 60 participants who will receive intravenous BRIUMVI in combination with standard antipsychotic medications.
The study will assess whether patients achieve at least a 20% reduction in PANSS total score by Week 12, a common measure of schizophrenia symptom severity.
BRIUMVI is currently approved for other indications, and this study marks an expansion into neuropsychiatric disease research.
The trial is multicenter and open-label, meaning both researchers and participants are aware of the treatment being administered.
