Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) reported a 10.3% year-over-year increase in China-made electric vehicle sales to 67,829 units in October 2026, according to data from the China Passenger Car Association.
The annual increase accelerated from September's 5% growth, extending Tesla's streak of year-over-year gains in Shanghai-produced vehicle sales to 12 consecutive months.
However, October sales declined 28.9% from September's 95,366 units, showing a substantial monthly reduction despite the improvement from the previous year.
The figures cover Model 3 and Model Y vehicles manufactured at Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory, including shipments for domestic customers and exports to Europe, Asia-Pacific and Canada.
The October results indicate continued annual growth in Shanghai-produced vehicle sales, although the monthly decline highlights fluctuations in shipments across Tesla's domestic and export markets.
Tesla's Shanghai factory serves as a production and export hub, supplying electric vehicles to China and international markets amid competition from Chinese manufacturers.
The company continues selling its Model 3 sedan and Model Y sport utility vehicle across major global markets, with Shanghai production supporting its international delivery operations.
