Tencent Music delivers 5.8% revenue growth to RMB8.93 billion

Tencent Music Entertainment Group (NYSE:TME) reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of RMB8.93 billion, up 5.8% year over year.

Revenue increased from RMB8.44 billion a year earlier as music related services grew 11%, while social entertainment revenue fell 16.4%.

Ximalaya contributed RMB407 million of revenue, operating expenses rose 12% to RMB1.30 billion, and Tencent Music repurchased 43.5 million ADSs for about US$400 million.

Following the announcement, Tencent Music's share price was unchanged at about $9.90 before regular NYSE trading began.

Tencent Music completed its acquisition of Ximalaya on May 18, adding the audio platform’s results to its consolidated accounts from that date.

The company is expanding beyond streaming through SVIP memberships, concerts, artist merchandise and other IP-based services while integrating Ximalaya into its music and audio platform.
