Taylor Devices (NASDAQ:TAYD) reported lower fiscal 2027 first-quarter sales of $7,300,239 alongside a decline in net earnings.

The quarterly sales figure fell from $9,918,350 a year earlier, while net earnings dropped to $456,933 from $2,190,084 in the prior-year period.

The company attributed the delayed sales recognition to orders arriving late in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026.

Earnings per share decreased to $0.14 from $0.70 due to lower sales volume, an unfavorable product mix, and new product development costs.

Despite the quarterly revenue decline, the firm order backlog reached a company record of $55.2 million, up from $52.8 million at the end of fiscal 2026.

The business stated that all three of its product groups contributed to quarterly order intake as it continues investing in new research and physical facilities.
