Sysco’s growth engine drives sales to $22.1 billion

Sysco (NYSE:SYY) reported fiscal fourth-quarter sales of $22.1 billion, up 4.7%, as U.S. Foodservice case volume increased 2.5%.

Gross profit rose 3.7% to $4.1 billion, operating income increased 10.6% to $983 million and adjusted EPS reached $1.53.

Sysco said its 53-week fiscal 2027 outlook includes 6%–7% sales growth, 9%–11% adjusted EPS growth and about $100 million in cost savings.

Following the announcement, Sysco's share price was down 0.3% at $84.98 in premarket trading.

Full-year sales increased 3.9% to $84.6 billion, while free cash flow rose 16.3% to $2.1 billion and shareholder returns reached $1.2 billion.

Meanwhile, Sysco agreed in March to acquire Jetro Restaurant Depot for about $29.1 billion, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.
