Sysco (NYSE:SYY) said it has agreed on economic terms with Teamsters Locals 630 and 848 but has not completed a final Los Angeles labor agreement, leaving the strike ongoing.
The company said its final offer provides an $8-per-hour wage increase by April 2027, compared with the current pay structure, with total wage growth exceeding 40% during the proposed contract period.
The proposal includes increased pension contributions, more pension-eligible hours, a sixth week of vacation after 30 years of service, and double-time pay after 12 hours worked.
Sysco said it has called for the Los Angeles strike to end and stated that it remains committed to reaching a complete agreement with the Teamsters representatives.
The company operates food distribution businesses across multiple markets and has previously managed labor negotiations as part of its workforce operations.
